Fasiha Kanwal, MD, MSHS is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology (CGH) - clinical practice journal of the American Gastroenteorlogical Association (AGA).

In addition to these roles, she has an active research program in health services research. Dr. Kanwal has received research support from the NIH, Veterans Administration, Department of Defense, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas. She is also actively involved in the mentoring and training program. She serves as the co-Director for the NIH-funded T32 program at Baylor College of Medicine.
